Abstract attention

DRIP

trickle over slobber
slow drift
under tendency

DROP

round about
over and over again
ooze accumulation

DRAPE

informal sound track
leaking down side
hogwash softness

Once you have an abstract photo
It’s easy to create more abstract vision
By taking the scissor computer
Digital composition.
How?
Experimenting trying failing doing it all over again
Perfect for these rainy daysssssss

experimental imagination under

in desert landscape

Been doing some more experimenting for abstract reality, if you have read so far you can read the secrets behind them trial and error.
The last blog was telling about subject, the subject here is a crystal, a desert rose, how appropriate.
The opposite of dry sandy landscape is a watery landscape with a certain flow, dropping the rose under.
What bind them together is perhaps glass, made from sand, holding water.
Photographing inside, refelcting the oudoor light with simple foil, crumbled up, stretched out.
The true try out are the colours, playing with filters.
The camera has some odd options in the filter menu, some made me laugh out loud. Yet, these photos are taken with just one filter, altering the filter for each photo.
So tell me what is your favourite???

Some of the words from the poem came from music i was/am listening to, some have therefor little meaning towards the photo.

bOOk in the making

All ArtBooks should be unique in a certain way not a copy of an other copy and yet that copied over again.
So my next photo-poetry book will show only photos which are NEW and in the making. The poetry is slowly starting.

experiment

Above you see some very other equipment for the book. It is sooooooo much more fun to create new stuf time after time. Feeling free to try out, what you haven’t done before.

The inspiration came from Bjork and her song Black Lake.
Black stones/pebbles a piece of black wood found on the beach and that old saggy feather from one of the geese.
The lake was created with a glass of water. The slight green colour would create a slight touch of colour to the otherwise Black and White

blub

With an experiment, you never really know the outcome, that makes it sooooo much fun.
The above photo and the other photos will not make it in the book.

bubbels in blur

The photos you see here, well you hardly see the feather and could not represent Black Lake, not the video nor the song.

Sometimes the green of the glass was/is just too much.
Today i went to some secondhand shops to get more glass equipment, with success. Yesterday found some more feathers.
The experiment will continue. Some of the photos i will share here but not the one for the book.
The book will be a limited print with certificate, thinking a number between 30 and 50. Which number do you recommend and why.

Underwater Poem

an other try

Going back doing an other try, making an other, not.
Sticks stayed, dipper drift, tooooooo much debris, need to do it again.

waiting for an better moment

Sticks saved, put secure.
Waiting for the right weather.

The third try was ships law, 3 times lucky.

Line 1 and line 2

CONSTANT FLOW OF IMPULSE
ADJUSTING TOWARDS ALTERATION

line 3 and 4 and 5

BOAT BELLIES
PUSH PERSISTENCE WAVES
READJUSTING WHAT WAS THERE

LINE 6 AND LINE 7

CONSTANT COMING
PERSISTENT GOING

FINAL

Finally the sticks stayed on the beach, not sure for how long.
The work was started at 7 in the morning in all peace without people.
On the way back people started to flow in with whatever they could carry.
The river beaches are a bit of a walk.

The poem will be a part of the Clean Rivers project, this September. What goes into the rivers here can go around many places in the world, even going around the world.
The poem is now in my garden and noting was left in the river, except my footprints, maybe.
The aim is to remind people of the beauty of the spot, without moralising.

Now i need to work on the film a new experience, which will take time.

A word appeared in the picture and from that word came so many other words all leaning to that one meaning of Whirl. From there into science of Velocity, just love the word, research of movement, in my own translation.
Dwar is a 50 million monument in a country where 50% of children are malnourished.
In that way one learn from one photo, one word.

underWATER

Showing you, some underWATER pictures with the new camera.

Willow-roots under water

The roots of Willow keep on growing holding onto some drifting sand, creating a light drip.  The trick was not seeing at all, looking from above and hoping for the best.

clinging onto wood

They say underWATER life clings onto wood much better than onto stones, it seems that way. Nice to see how the sediment is captured by plants and sticks, creating a new environment.

special light

The light is different underwater, this picture was made while a small wave did capture the camera, just under. You see the movement of tiny prisma’s embracing light beams.

just above

When you hold the lens just above waterlevel you get a water horizon, with a perfect reflection of perspective.

DRIP

When you click just on the moment the camera comes out of the water, you make a drip.

special beach

Here under the smoke of Rotterdam is a small paradise, where i like to hide in silence and forget the world. Here right here were the photo’s made.

more will follow, lots to learn, a new camera, a new menu, a new search, for how to do it.
